Join our dedicated team as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in our Gastroenterology department and play a key role in providing quality patient care.
Job Summary
As an LPN in our ambulatory practice, you will deliver routine nursing care to patients under the supervision of a physician, ensuring a supportive environment for both patients and healthcare providers.
Accountabilities
- Assist physicians in examinations, procedures, and other patient care activities.
- Coordinate patient appointments for diagnostics, referrals, and hospital admissions.
- Monitor and maintain medical supplies and equipment functionality.
- Document vital signs and patient information accurately in charts.
- Obtain medical histories and chief complaints from patients.
- Process prescription requests according to physician orders.
- Enhance patient education to promote healthy behaviors and self-care skills.
- Prepare and tidy exam rooms for patient consultations.
- Manage clinically related phone calls, screening those needing physician attention.
- Complete medical history forms for insurance documentation.
- Communicate schedule changes to the physician promptly.
Supervisory/Management Responsibility
This is a non-management role reporting to a supervisor or manager.
Minimum Requirements
Must have completed a recognized LPN program approved by the SC State Board of Nursing.
No prior experience is necessary.
Required Licensure/Registrations/Certifications
Must be licensed to practice as an LPN in South Carolina.
Work Shift
Day shift (United States of America).
Location
Oconee Medical Campus, 2422 Gastroenterology-Seneca.
