Role Summary

We are seeking a Payroll Specialist to manage multi-state payroll processing and ensure timely, accurate payments for employees. This role is critical to maintaining compliance and supporting operational efficiency.

You will process weekly payroll, work with time and attendance systems, and learn UKG Pro while collaborating with internal teams to resolve payroll issues and improve processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process weekly payroll for 300-500+ employees across multiple states.
  • Manage time and attendance data in Kronos and ensure accuracy.
  • Learn and utilize UKG Pro for payroll processing.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
  • Assist with payroll audits and respond to employee inquiries.
  • Prepare and analyze payroll reports using Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
  • Support payroll-related projects and process improvements.
Key Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience processing multi-state payroll for 300+ employees.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and payroll platforms (UKG, Kronos, ADP preferred).
  • Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
  • Knowledge of payroll regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred:
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Experience with union and non-union payroll, garnishments, and certified payroll.
  • Canadian payroll experience is a plus.
