Job Summary
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Full-time Controller to oversee our financial operations and ensure the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of our financial reporting. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a crucial role in shaping our financial strategy, optimizing our processes, and supporting data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of financial reporting, including the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all required tasks
- Develop and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Lead the annual audit process, working closely with external auditors to facilitate a smooth and efficient audit
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all transactions
- Manage cash flow and treasury operations, including cash forecasting, investment management, and banking relationships
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations
- Provide strategic financial guidance to executive leadership, including analysis of financial performance, budgeting, and forecasting
- Manage and mentor a team of accounting and finance professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives, pricing strategies, and contract negotiations
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of financial systems and tools, with a focus on leveraging technology to streamline processes and improve reporting capabilities
- Monitor and analyze key financial metrics and KPIs specific to the SaaS industry, providing insights and recommendations to drive business growth
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and reporting requirements, including SEC filings if applicable
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, board members, and financial institutions
- Lead special projects and initiatives as needed to support the company's financial objectives and strategic goals
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license
- Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, with at least 5 years in a controller or senior financial management role
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements
- Extensive experience with financial systems and software, including ERP systems and financial planning and analysis tools
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
