Big Apple Greeter seeks a part-time Online Auction Organizer.

Mission: Since 1992, Big Apple Greeter has given New Yorkers an opportunity to give back to the city they know and love through its free, New York City welcoming service. Dedicated to showing "New York City through the eyes of a New Yorker," the greeter service connects visitors with knowledgeable and enthusiastic volunteers who proudly show neighborhoods throughout the city.

In addition to the volunteer greeters who meet visitors, volunteers also play key roles in the Big Apple Greeter office.

About the Position:

Big Apple Greeter seeks an Online Auction Organizer to organize and launch this new fundraising program for us.

As the Online Auction Organizer, you will work closely with the Executive Director, interact with the Board of Directors, and provide critical contributions to make the project a success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the auction from launch to follow-up
  • Work with the Board and Executive Director to gather and select auction items
  • Design and implement an auction marketing campaign to appropriate audiences

Qualifications

  • Prior online auction experience a plus.

Required

  • Minimum 10 hours per week over 2 days per week.
  • You must be willing to work in our office downtown for several months upon starting
  • Passion for working in the nonprofit sector and alignment with our mission.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
