Manager Learning Events

Key Responsibilities

Event Strategy, Planning & Execution

  • Lead full lifecycle project management for all in-person and virtual learning events.

  • Manage conference formats, run-of-show structures, timelines, and onsite operations.

  • Oversee logistics: staffing, travel, supplies, activations, vendor coordination, and technology needs.

  • Serve as the point of contact for partners, speakers, and cross-functional teams.

  • Ensure brand consistency, accessibility, and learning alignment across all event deliverables.

Innovation, Tools & Scalable Frameworks

  • Pilot and assess new engagement tools and technologies.

  • Build scalable templates, frameworks, and planning systems to improve consistency and efficiency.

  • Introduce workflow enhancements and support integration of automation and AI.

Participant Experience & Engagement

  • Support the participant journey through clear communication, personalization, and engagement strategies.

  • Oversee registration, attendee inquiries, and event communications in coordination with the Sr. Specialist.

Insights, Reporting & Continuous Improvement

  • Analyze participant feedback, session ratings, and performance data.

  • Produce post-event reports, dashboards, and strategic recommendations.

  • Present insights to leadership and integrate improvements into future event design.

Cross-Functional Leadership & Collaboration

  • Lead select planning meetings and represent Learning Events in cross-brand discussions.

  • Collaborate with LX Designers, Video, Brand Teams, and Data partners to deliver cohesive experiences.

  • Present updates or proposals when appropriate and escalate strategic decisions to the Director.

Decision-Making & Collaboration Expectations

The Manager drives work forward independently—making planning, logistical, engagement, and onsite decisions—while collaborating closely with the Director and Sr. Specialist to ensure alignment. The role involves proactive communication, shared accountability, and transparent coordination. No direct reports; reports directly to the Director.

Qualifications & Experience

Required:

  • 5+ years in event management, program operations, learning events, or related fields

  • Strong project management, organizational, and communication skills

  • Experience managing medium-to-large virtual and in-person events

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort with new technologies and AI tools

  • Ability to analyze data and build insights-driven recommendations

  • Travel required for in-person events

Preferred:

  • Experience in learning-focused or enterprise-level events

  • Knowledge of engagement tools, automation platforms, or learning technologies

Ideal Candidate

A strong candidate is proactive, organized, resilient, innovative, insight-driven, and comfortable leading without direct authority. They thrive in fast-paced environments, communicate with confidence, and bring forward new ideas to elevate learning events and participant experiences.
