KPMG's comprehensive Market Data Service (MDS) team is looking for a Director of Research and Data Operations. This leadership role is essential in managing and advancing our third-party data asset management strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and align third-party data strategies with enterprise objectives while ensuring scalability, compliance, and value realization.
  • Identify emerging trends and innovation opportunities in third-party data sourcing, integrating best practices into strategic execution.
  • Collaborate effectively with stakeholders, including the MDS Leader and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), to manage data asset research, evaluation, and acquisition processes.
  • Drive operational improvements in the data research function, focusing on process enhancements, operational metrics, and financial diligence.
  • Oversee the operational model of MDS service delivery, ensuring effective workflow and resource planning to support team functions.
  • Monitor and report on operational effectiveness and performance metrics for MDS, focusing on compliance and portfolio management.
  • Uphold KPMG's commitment to integrity and professionalism while maintaining a respectful work environment.

Qualifications:

  • At least eight years of management experience in data analytics or business research, with a proven track record in sourcing and utilizing third-party data.
  • A Bachelor's degree in business administration, economics, finance, or a related field.
  • In-depth understanding of third-party data and research providers, including their commercial offerings.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and collaborative skills to navigate complex organizational structures.
  • Strong analytical, financial, and problem-solving skills with experience in project management.
  • Familiarity with agile tools such as JIRA and data analysis technologies like PowerBI or Tableau.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship is required.
