Radiology Technician Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking skilled and dedicated ARRT Radiology or Limited License X-Ray Technicians to enhance our team. In this role, you will conduct x-ray examinations, ensuring patient comfort and safety while utilizing your expertise in anatomy and physiology. You will also assist with Medical Assistant responsibilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following duties reflect our expectations for this position. Additional tasks may be assigned.

• Warmly welcome patients in the waiting area, exam room, and x-ray room.
• Keep patients informed about wait times and guide them through the treatment process.
• Address patient concerns and seek assistance during emergencies or hazardous situations.
• Conduct follow-up calls in a timely manner.
• Support front desk staff with patient check-in and check-out procedures when needed.
• Accurately document patient vital signs, weight, medical history, current medications, and allergies.
• Assist with patient transfers and procedures under a provider's supervision.
• Follow documentation procedures and complete all necessary paperwork related to patient visits.
• Perform radiology procedures efficiently for evaluation and treatment by the physician.
• Implement quality control measures to ensure excellence in examinations.
• Prepare patients for radiologic procedures while adhering to clinical and regulatory standards, prioritizing patient safety and proper radiation protection.
• Check that equipment is functioning correctly and report any issues to the Manager or on-duty provider.
• Commit to maintaining and enhancing your diagnostic imaging skills with support from educational resources.
• Ensure current licensure and certification for radiology equipment and facility requirements.

WHAT’S THE WORK SCHEDULE?
This is a full-time position with a rotating schedule of 36-40 hours per week, including 12-hour weekday shifts and every other weekend. PRN (per diem) team members will be scheduled as needed.

REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or equivalent
BLS Certification
ARKANSAS State X-Ray License
Preferred: ARRT Certification
Preferred: Experience as a Medical Assistant
