X-Ray Technician

Baptist Health Urgent Care is seeking skilled ARRT Radiology or Limited License X-Ray Technologists to join our dedicated team

JOB SUMMARY:
This role involves conducting x-ray examinations, utilizing knowledge of body mechanics, anatomy, and physiology. You will operate diagnostic equipment, manage film development, and prepare the examination room with necessary supplies, while also taking on some Medical Assistant responsibilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The duties and responsibilities outlined below reflect the primary expectations of this position, but are not exhaustive. Additional tasks may be assigned.

• Greet patients promptly as they enter the facility.
• Maintain clear communication regarding wait times and guide patients through the treatment process.
• Provide solutions to patient queries and recognize emergencies or hazardous situations.
• Conduct follow-up calls with urgency to ensure patient satisfaction.
• Assist front desk staff with patient check-in/out when needed.
• Document patient vital signs, weight, medical history, medications, allergies, and other relevant information accurately.
• Support patient transfers and assist with procedures under the supervision of the provider.
• Complete all necessary documentation related to patient visits in a timely manner.
• Perform necessary quality control procedures to ensure high-quality radiologic exams.
• Prepare patients for radiologic procedures in line with established safety protocols, including proper radiation protection.
• Ensure all equipment is functioning correctly and report any issues to the Manager or provider.
• Stay updated on diagnostic imaging knowledge and skills through continued education.
• Maintain current licensure and certification for facility radiology equipment.

SCHEDULE:
Full-time members work a rotating schedule of 36-40 hours per week, with 12-hour shifts on weekdays and every other weekend. PRN (per diem) positions are scheduled as needed.

REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or equivalent.
BLS Certification.
AR State X-Ray License.
ARRT Certification is preferred.
Experience as a Medical Assistant is advantageous.
