The product support specialist works alongside engineers and technicians supporting a broad range of programs and development projects. This position has a high level of autonomy to perform assigned tasks and assignments. Products may be developmental, mature/fielded systems, and/or anything in between. The product support specialist will work in cross-functional teams where they are likely to develop close collegial relationships built on trust and individual integrity. Successful candidates are self-starters with strong technical experience that are willing to go above and beyond the norm when necessary to get the job done. An ideal candidate for this position has experience in the military and data acquisition systems. The ability to obtain a DOD Secret Clearance is required for this position. • The ability to obtain a DOD Secret Clearance. • Demonstrated ability to manage and execute assigned tasks independently. • Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships and effectively communicate with customers to resolve complex technical problems. • Ability to accept field assignments and associated travel to test locations. • Ability to take ownership of problems/high level requirements. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and skilled in MS Excel, word, and PowerPoint. Typically, a relevant associate's degree or equivalent plus eight years of defense-related experience in engineering, manufacturing, design, test, or field service to identify design/performance problems and lead project teams.
