This Engineering position can be filled at the Entry, Mid-level, or Senior Engineer levels. Please see the qualifications list below for each tier.

Salary Range:

  • Entry-Level - $85,000
  • Mid-Level - $90,000 - $111,000
  • Senior Level - $118,000 - $150,000

Ranges reflect annual compensation based on experience and include a comprehensive benefits package.

Role Overview

The Corporate Decommissioning Engineer will engage in advanced technical and engineering problem-solving to support our nuclear plant operations while serving as a resource and technical advisor to fellow engineers. You will be responsible for making critical technical decisions, leveraging your in-depth knowledge of engineering principles and industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert technical guidance to develop, manage, and implement engineering analyses and programs.
  • Act as a subject matter expert to identify and resolve equipment and system issues.
  • Lead engineering and technical initiatives that affect site operations both in the short and long term.
  • Execute assigned engineering tasks while adhering to engineering principles.
  • Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of work, applying standard design criteria and codes in all plans and specifications.
  • Conduct independent research and analyses to support technical projects.
  • Recommend innovations and methods to enhance performance, streamline processes, reduce costs, or comply with regulatory changes.
  • Fulfill additional responsibilities as directed by management, including emergency response and departmental coverage.

Entry-Level Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Nuclear).
  • Meet medical examination and access requirements as applicable to the position.

Mid-Level Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Nuclear) with 2 years of nuclear or related engineering experience.
  • Maintain necessary medical examination and access requirements.

Senior Level Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Nuclear) with 5 years of nuclear or related engineering experience.
  • Maintain medical examination and access requirements.
  • Experience with Decommissioning Cost Estimates is highly preferred.
