As a Certified Surgical Technologist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and comfort of our pre-operative patients while maintaining the high standards of our surgical environment. Your expertise will directly contribute to positive patient outcomes and a collaborative healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing and caring for pre-operative patients.
  • Maintain aseptic techniques and monitor situations to prevent breaches in sterilization.
  • Provide comfort and demonstrate sensitivity to patients' needs.
  • Transport patients to and from the Operating Room.
  • Prepare and set up the Operating Room according to the type of case.
  • Scrub for a variety of specialty areas, including but not limited to: Transplants, Open Heart, and Robotics.
  • Effectively use physician preference cards to ensure the OR is well-prepared.
  • Contribute as a supportive team member to enhance patient care delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with infection control procedures and proper sanitation policies.
  • Adapt care methods to meet the unique needs of each patient.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program or LVN/LPN program is necessary.
  • 2 or more years of experience preferred.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Must achieve Certified Surgical Technologist certification within 180 days of graduation or have an active LVN/LPN License.
