  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive infection prevention and control policies and programs in alignment with regulatory standards.
  • Conduct surveillance and analysis of infection trends, providing recommendations to reduce and prevent healthcare-associated infections (HAIs).
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to educate and train staff on infection prevention protocols, best practices, and compliance measures.
  • Lead and participate in infection prevention initiatives, audits, and assessments to ensure a safe environment of care.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on infection prevention during public health crises and provide guidance on outbreak management.
Candidate requirements A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required; a Master's degree in Nursing (MSN), Public Health, or a related field is preferred. Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas. Certification in Infection Prevention and Control (CIC) is strongly preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in infection prevention, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Strong knowledge of healthcare-associated infection prevention measures, regulatory requirements, and accreditation standards.
