Cloud Engineer

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a unique and strong technical skill set, extensive experience with AWS services, and a proven track record in cost optimization initiatives. This role is crucial for maintaining and enhancing our cloud infrastructure, ensuring it is efficient, scalable, and cost-effective.Key Responsibilities:1. AWS Expertise:o Proficient in key AWS services including EC2, ECS, EKS, S3, IAM, Lambda, RDS, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, and EventBridge.o Design, implement, and manage scalable and secure cloud architectures.o Optimize and troubleshoot existing cloud environments to improve performance and reliability.2. Automation and DevOps:o Strong knowledge of GitHub, Copilot, and CI/CD tools.o Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python to streamline operations and reduce manual tasks.o Implement and manage continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.3. Cost Optimization:o Play a pivotal role in cost optimization initiatives, with a proven track record of optimizing.o Identify and clean up idle and inactive stacks to free up resources.? Right sizing compute and storage for applications to improve efficiency.4. Housekeeping and Maintenance:o Manage AWS service quotas to ensure a safety environments for product teams.o Monitor quota limits to ensure they are within acceptable ranges.o Regularly delete unused or orphaned AWS resources across all accounts to maintain a healthy infrastructure.Qualifications:? Technical Skills:o Extensive experience with AWS services, including EC2, ECS, EKS, S3, IAM, Lambda, RDS, Glue, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, and EventBridge.o Strong knowledge of GitHub, Copilot, and CI/CD tools.o Proficiency in Python scripting for automation.? Experience:o 4+ years of experience in cloud engineering, with a focus on AWS.o Proven experience in cost optimization and resource management.o Experience with DevOps practices and tools.? Education:o Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. Graduate degree is preferred.? Soft Skills:o Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.o Strong communication and collaboration abilities.o Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
