AtWork Decatur seeking skilled and mechanically inclined Diesel Mechanic / Trailer Technicians to perform maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, semi-trailers, and industrial tires. This role supports our ProFleet division, offering opportunities for specialized trailer maintenance training as well as general diesel service work. This is a direct hire position located in Decatur, AL/. Key Responsibilities-General Diesel Work Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and vehicles. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical issues. Trailer Maintenance Repair semi-trailers, including work on brakes, electrical systems, hydraulics, flooring, and structural components. Perform DOT inspections and preventive maintenance services. Tire Services Mount, dismount, and repair various industrial tires. Operate a Hydraulic 200-Ton Press Machine safely and effectively. Additional Duties Travel locally to customer sites and company locations (no overnight travel). Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop environment. Handle customer equipment safely and in full compliance with OSHA standards. Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety protocols. Qualifications Minimum 21 years of age with a clean driving record. Valid Driver s License and ability to meet company insurance standards. DOT Medical Certification (required during hiring process). Mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving abilities. Preferred experience in semi-trailer repair (brakes, electrical, hydraulics). Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and work outdoors in all weather conditions. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as walking, bending, lifting, and reaching. Skills & Abilities Strong mechanical and technical skills. Ability to operate service equipment and tools safely. Excellent customer service and communication skills. High attention to detail. Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
