AtWork is seeking a skilled Automotive Diesel Technician to join our team in Decatur, AL. Db=KG Duties Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, air brakes, suspension systems, hydraulics, and other vehicle components using schematics and technical manuals. Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, tire service, brake repairs, shocks & struts replacement, wheel alignments, and general mechanical repairs. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and soldering techniques to execute repairs efficiently and safely. Read and interpret schematics and technical diagrams to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues on automotive and industrial equipment. Conduct inspections on industrial equipment, and heavy-duty vehicles to identify potential problems before failure occurs. Maintain detailed records of repairs performed and parts used; ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications. Assist with assembly or disassembly of vehicle components during repair or maintenance procedures. * Experience Proven dealership experience or extensive background in automotive repair is highly preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in diesel engine repair and automotive diagnostics. Familiarity with fabrication techniques, welding, soldering, and the use of hand tools and power tools required for complex repairs. Experience working with heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, farm machinery, industrial equipment, and tractor-trailers. Ability to read schematics accurately and troubleshoot electrical systems effectively. Knowledge of transmissions, air brakes, hydraulics, suspension systems, HVAC systems, shocks & struts is essential. Prior experience in vehicle maintenance including tire service and wheel alignment is advantageous. Skills in electrical work related to automotive systems or industrial equipment are a plus. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate various types of machinery confidently.
