Responsibilities

• Perform accounting or financial functions using established processes, including but not limited to the reconciliation of assigned general ledger accounts and data entry related to financial information.
• Typical assignments consist of accounts such as inventory, receivables, and liability accounts.
• Create, review & enter journal entries, including but not limited to revenue transfers, expenditure transfers, reclassifications, campus charges, daily banking, and Banner transactions as needed.
• Such duties include verifying proper approval has been obtained from impacted departments.
• Perform cash reporting and coordinate accounts payable check printing processes as needed.
• At the supervisor¿s discretion, this position may also take part in special projects related to Business and Finance activities such as peer institution or market research.

Required Qualifications

• Completed a minimum of 60 hours with a grade-point average of 3.2 or higher and declared an Accounting, Business, Finance, or related major.
• Completed Principles of Accounting I and II.
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
• The job requires 10-20 hours per week determined by your supervisor.

Physical Requirements/ Working Conditions

• Ability to move about the office freely, communicate without restriction.
• Able to lift heavy boxes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to multi-task and work as a team player.
