Job Title: Physician Rheumatology
Job Type: Locum Tenens (Full-Time)
Location: Hanover, PA
Service Setting: Outpatient clinic with limited hospital consults
Coverage Type: Clinical + APP Supervision
Coverage Period: Starting January 2, 2026 Ongoing
Clinical Shift Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
Coverage Details: 20 shifts/month (can be split between 2 providers, 10 each)
Reason for Coverage: Supplemental
Support Staff Available: 2 PAs (APPs) supervision required; RN & MA support
EMR System: Epic
PATIENT INFORMATION
Patient Demographics: Adults only
Outpatient Volume: per day (36 patient-facing hours/week)
Hospital Consults: 0 5 per month (phone consults during office hours)
Case Mix:
Rheumatoid Arthritis, Psoriatic Arthritis, Ankylosing Spondylitis
Lupus, Scleroderma, Sjogren s Syndrome
Gout, Osteoporosis, Vasculitis, Myopathies
GCA, Temporal Arteritis, PMR, Sarcoidosis
Reactive Arthritis, Raynaud s Phenomenon, Wegener s Granulomatosis, Polyarteritis Nodosa
Positive ANA with systemic features (rash, joint swelling, pain, pleural effusion, pericarditis)
Procedures: Joint injections
PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE
Hospital Privileges Required: Yes
Credentialing Timeline: 90 days
Licensure: Active Pennsylvania medical license (IMLC accepted)
DEA: Required
Certifications: BLS
Board Status: BC/BE in Rheumatology
Experience: Minimum 1 year
