Inventory Specialist

The Inventory Specialist oversees inventory accuracy, forecasts demand, and works with cross-functional teams to ensure a continuous supply of products or materials. Key responsibilities include performing regular cycle counts and comprehensive audits of inventory, analyzing variances and investigating root causes of discrepancies, collaborating with purchasing, logistics, and warehouse teams for inventory planning, utilizing inventory management software to track stock movement and generate reports, identifying and implementing process improvements to reduce waste or shrinkage, and training staff on inventory control procedures and best practices.
Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent required; an associate's or bachelor's degree preferred, 2+ years' experience in inventory control, supply chain, or a related role, proficiency with inventory management software and Microsoft Excel, strong analytical, data entry, and problem-solving skills, excellent written and verbal communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
