Radiologic Technologist - CT/Rad Tech

Overview

• Shift: 10:45 PM to 7:15 AM | Weekends: Yes | Call: Yes

Requirements
• License: NYS License (Compact: No)
• Certs: ARRT, BLS
• Experience: 1 Year
• EMR: RIS and PACS
• Compliance: Follows NYSDOH Part 16 guidelines
• Locals: N/A
• RTO Policy: N/A

Responsibilities
• Performs technical radiographic assignments and exercises complex judgment in CT and Radiologic Technology.
• Evaluates images for quality and positioning accuracy based on procedure guidelines.
• Provides clear instructions to patients during procedures to alleviate stress.
• Ensures proper radiation protection for self, patients, and personnel.
• Responsible for performing radiographic and CT studies with and without IV contrast enhancement.
• Performs required QC activities and maintains competency in two specific modalities.

Notes
• Occupational exposure to blood borne pathogens is anticipated.
• Infection control practices must adhere to Universal Precautions.
• Demonstrates flexibility in emergency call coverage during weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
