Performs diagnostic radiographic studies as requested. Operates portable diagnostic radiographic equipment where needed. Performs Infection Control according to Universal Precautions. EDUCATION: Minimum: • Radiology Technology program in AMA approved 2 year program or AAS degree in Radiologic Technology. LICENSE: Minimum: • NYS license PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONS: Minimum: • ARRT certification WORK EXPERIENCE: Minimum: • Completion of 24 month course by a recognized AMA approved school in Radiology. • A broad background in all technical areas of Diagnostic Radiology Preferred: • 1-2 years experience in related radiology fields. SKILLS: Minimum: • Maintains mandatory CEC-12 per year in Radiology Technology. • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and ability to deal with the public in a professional and courteous manner. • Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities and enhance the spirit of teamwork through effective role modeling. • Computer literacy required
