SLUCare is on the lookout for a dedicated and compassionate Neuromuscular Neurologist to join our esteemed team. This is a remarkable opportunity to collaborate with experienced providers in the only Nationally Certified ALS Clinic within the state.
Position Highlights:
- Flexible Schedule: Enjoy a well-balanced mix of clinic responsibilities, procedures, and on-call duties.
- Call Responsibility: 8 to 10 weeks per year, with 1-week shifts; overnight calls can be managed from home.
- Clinic Focus: Deliver exceptional care to neuromuscular patients, including nerve conduction studies and EMGs.
- Procedures: Dedicate 1 full day per week in the EMG lab, guided by our clinic director.
- Botox Program: Join a growing patient community with substantial treatment needs.
- Multidisciplinary Clinic Model: Work with a team to provide comprehensive ALS patient care during a single 4-hour visit that involves a dietitian, speech therapist, physical/occupational therapist, social worker, and the clinic director.
- Research Opportunities: Engage in extensive research with protected time available for projects.
- Pediatric Collaboration: Participate in a monthly rotation for pediatric EMG procedures and muscle biopsies at Cardinal Glennon.
- Team Expansion: Welcoming a Neuromuscular APP to the team post-Labor Day.
- Mentorship: Receive support and guidance from a dedicated mentor who leads the clinic and lab.
