This position is an exceptional opportunity to work within a collaborative academic environment dedicated to clinical excellence, teaching, and research.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver expert clinical care to stroke patients, maintaining the highest standards of practice.
- Coordinate with medical staff to provide call coverage during holidays, vacations, and other absences.
- Oversee all clinical decision-making while managing a private office during service hours.
- Advise on operational policies including:
- Purchasing and capital allocations
- Participation in managed care plans
- Budget and practice expenses
- Medicare/Medicaid participation
- Billing and collections
- Personnel management
- Risk management and quality assurance
- Coding compliance
- Provide after-hours call coverage for practice patients, in addition to scheduled office appointments.
- Engage in community outreach activities, such as speaking engagements, writing, and special clinical programs.
- Ensure compliance with risk management, coding, and quality assurance standards.
- Maintain vigilance and adhere to safety protocols at all times.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
