Position Overview

Provide essential anesthesia services to pediatric dental patients in a supportive, child-focused environment. This role offers both part-time and full-time options with predictable 7-8 hour workdays-no overnight calls, no hospital politics, just meaningful work helping children access the dental care they need. You'll become an integral part of a collaborative team dedicated to making dental care accessible and comfortable for children across South Carolina.

The practice operates modern, fully-equipped facilities in three thriving South Carolina cities:
  • Greenville - Nestled in the Blue Ridge foothills with vibrant downtown amenities, excellent schools, and a thriving food scene

You'll have flexibility to work across locations or focus on your preferred area based on scheduling needs and personal preference. Each facility features state-of-the-art equipment and child-friendly atmospheres designed to reduce anxiety and promote positive experiences.

Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary: $350,000-$365,000 annually
  • Structure: 1099 contractor position offering tax advantages and professional autonomy

Responsibilities

You'll provide comprehensive anesthesia care for pediatric dental patients, including pre-operative assessments, sedation administration, continuous monitoring during procedures, and post-operative recovery oversight. Working collaboratively with experienced pediatric dentists and support staff, you'll ensure each child receives safe, compassionate care in a non-threatening environment tailored specifically for young patients. Your expertise will enable children with special needs, dental anxiety, or complex treatment requirements to receive necessary care comfortably and safely.

Ideal Candidate

The practice seeks a board-certified or board-eligible anesthesiologist passionate about pediatric care. Strong candidates demonstrate excellent communication skills with children and families, sound clinical judgment, and comfort in office-based settings. Pediatric anesthesia experience is valued but not required-the right attitude, commitment to excellence, and genuine care for children matter most.
