Location: Santa Clara, CA

Job Description

We are seeking a hands-on Data Center Technician with strong hardware, cabling, and server provisioning skills. The ideal candidate will support day-to-day data center operations including server builds, rack-and-stack activities, network hardware installation, troubleshooting, and system provisioning. This role requires someone physically capable, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Rack, build, cable, configure, and provision servers.
  • Rack, cable, and deploy Cisco Layer 2 networking equipment.
  • Perform troubleshooting, testing, and quality assurance of server hardware.
  • Resolve hardware-related issues through ticketing systems in a professional manner.
  • Perform OS installations (Windows Server, Linux, Unix).
  • Travel to other locations as needed.
  • Work comfortably with physical requirements:

    • Lift up to 50 lbs
    • Stand for extended periods, including on ladders
Desired Experience

  • Experience installing and configuring Windows Server, Linux, and Unix operating systems.
  • Strong cabling knowledge, including port mapping and understanding various cable types and their uses.
  • Solid understanding of hardware troubleshooting and logical problem-solving techniques.
  • Experience deploying Cisco Layer 2 devices (strong plus).
  • Basic understanding of RAID levels (plus).
  • Experience with Web Server and Database installations (plus).
  • Ability to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
  • Ability to multitask and learn quickly in a dynamic environment.
Qualifications

  • Minimum: High School Diploma
  • Basic knowledge of computer hardware assets, components, and peripherals.
