Certified Forklift Operator

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate Forklift safely and efficiently.
  • Stack and unstack lumber on kiln carts.
  • Unload the green stacker and stack lumber according to the policy.
  • Maintain cleanliness in the kiln areas and lumber yard.
  • Perform pre-shift forklift checks and ensure safety interlocks are functional.
  • Follow established safety procedures and lockout protocols.
  • Assist with maintenance and additional tasks as needed.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Availability for rotating shifts.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • At least six months of experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting preferred.
  • Prior forklift experience required.
  • Ability to operate a 35,000-pound forklift safely.
  • Capable of distinguishing lumber sizes and dimensions.
  • Willing to work outdoors in various temperatures.
  • Physical capability to perform lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Strong team communication skills and supportive of team culture.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Employment contingent on successful completion of background check, drug test, and physical examination.
