Commercial Electrician - Journeyman Level

What You'll Do
  • Install and run electrical wiring for commercial construction projects
  • Bend and install conduit systems with precision
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical issues on-site
  • Guide and train electrician helpers/apprentices to build their skills
  • Work closely with general contractors and subcontractors to ensure seamless project delivery
What We're Looking For
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in commercial electrical work
  • Strong skills in wire installation, conduit bending, and blueprint reading
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining high safety and quality standards
  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and problem-solving abilities
  • Knowledge of electrical codes, compliance, and safety practices
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in industrial facilities, hotels, office buildings, and upscale residential projects
  • Familiarity with commercial lighting, power distribution, and control systems
  • Proven track record in electrical construction, retrofits, and system upgrades

Work Environment

You'll work on commercial job sites including:
  • Industrial facilities
  • Office buildings
  • Hotels and hospitality projects
  • High-end residential developments

Daily collaboration with general contractors, project managers, and subcontractors ensures you're always part of the bigger picture.
Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hoffman Estates, IL.
Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $36.00/hr.
Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
