We are seeking a motivated and highly skilled Journeyperson Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across various settings, including commercial, industrial, and construction sites. Your expertise will ensure that all electrical work complies with safety standards and electrical codes such as the National Electrical Code (NEC). Responsibilities

  • Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in accordance with blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.
  • Work with low voltage systems.
  • Utilize hand tools and power tools proficiently for wiring, conduit bending, mounting fixtures, and other electrical tasks.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on industrial and commercial electrical systems to prevent downtime and ensure safety compliance.
  • Diagnose electrical issues using testing devices such as ohmmeters and multimeters; implement effective solutions promptly.
  • Collaborate with construction teams including frame carpenters and general contractors during renovation or new construction projects.
  • Ensure all work adheres to NEC standards and local electrical codes while maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Perform low voltage wiring for security systems, fire alarms, data networks, or other specialized systems.
  • Assist in the setup of control panels
  • Maintain detailed records of inspections, repairs, modifications, and compliance documentation.
  • Support maintenance person tasks related to electrical troubleshooting or minor repairs around the site as needed.

Experience

  • Proven experience as an industrial or commercial electrician with a valid Journeyperson license or equivalent certification.
  • Extensive hands-on experience working on construction sites involving new installations or renovations.
  • Strong knowledge of NEC regulations, schematics reading, blueprint interpretation, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Skilled in using hand tools such as wire strippers, screwdrivers, pliers; power tools including drills and saws; testing devices like ohmmeters.
  • Experience working with construction teams including frame carpenters or general contractors during complex projects.
  • Ability to read technical schematics accurately and translate them into practical wiring solutions.
  • Previous maintenance person experience is a plus for versatile troubleshooting tasks on-site.
