Overview for our Systems Administrator:
Join our dynamic team as an MSP Systems Administrator, where you'll play a critical role in supporting our clients' IT environments. This position is perfect for a well-rounded IT professional who thrives in a fast-paced Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment. You'll handle day-to-day troubleshooting, maintenance, and project work, with opportunities to specialize and grow your expertise.
Key Responsibilities for the Systems Administrator:
• System Administration: Manage and maintain Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and group policies.
• Virtualization Support: Act as the go-to resource for VMware environments, providing support and guidance as needed.
• Backup & Recovery: Administer and troubleshoot Veeam backup solutions, ensuring data integrity and disaster recovery readiness.
• Network Management: Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot routers, switches, and hubs to ensure optimal network performance and security.
• Technical Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues across diverse environments.
• Project Work: Participate in IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and new installations, ensuring successful delivery.
• Client Interaction: Provide excellent customer service to MSP clients, communicating technical information clearly and professionally.
Required Skills & Qualifications for our Systems Administrator:
• Strong experience with Windows Server and Active Directory administration.
• Knowledge of VMware virtualization technologies, with the ability to serve as the subject matter expert.
• Hands-on experience with Veeam Backup & Replication solutions.
• Familiarity with network hardware including routers, switches, and hubs, along with basic networking principles.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues in a timely and effective manner.
• Experience working in an MSP environment is highly desirable but not required.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Preferred Skills for our Systems Administrator:
• Familiarity with firewalls and network security best practices.
• Experience with cloud solutions (e.g., Azure, AWS) is a plus.
• Certifications such as VMware VCP, Microsoft MCSA/MCSE, or CompTIA Network+ are beneficial.
