Job Title: Systems Administrator

Location: Cleveland, OH

Type: Contract-to-Hire

Salary: $35-45 per hour or $60,000 - $80,000 base salary

Description:

We are seeking a skilled Systems Administrator to join our team in Cleveland, OH. As a Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining, upgrading, and providing support for software, hardware, and networks. The ideal candidate should possess the ability to diagnose and resolve problems efficiently, while effectively communicating technical concerns and solutions to management.

In this role, you will be supporting Windows and Linux servers in a mixed physical and virtual server environment, enterprise backup systems, networks, firewalls, centralized printing environments, and storage area networks (SAN). Additionally, you will play a crucial role in security monitoring, testing, and assisting with security implementation.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily operational support of systems, including hardware, software, security, configuration, backups, and restores.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot all hardware and software components.
  • Conduct vulnerability and networking scanning assessments.
  • Monitor network traffic for unusual activity.
  • Configure and support security tools such as firewalls, antivirus software, and patch management systems.
  • Implement network security policies, application security, access control, and corporate data safeguards.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving ticket escalations.
Position Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of system administrator experience in an enterprise environment.
  • Good working knowledge of network protocols, including network switching and firewalls.
  • Experience or knowledge of Microsoft Server, Linux, PaloAlto, LanDesk, VMware, Networking, Nessus, Active Directory, Group Policy, Cisco, and Splunk, SentinalOne.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, across all levels.
  • Analytical thinker with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to assess and prioritize in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Strong teamwork qualities with the ability to establish and maintain solid working relationships.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
