Your Role:
As a Delivery Specialist, your main responsibility will be to safely transport office supplies along your assigned route to our valued customers. You may also assist in loading your vehicle depending on delivery volume. Safety is our top priority, and we expect you to uphold the highest safety standards while fostering a supportive culture.
Your tasks will include:
- Safely operating your delivery vehicle and ensuring compliance with traffic regulations.
- Organizing and loading products for the most efficient delivery routes.
- Providing excellent customer service, including accepting product returns and addressing customer inquiries.
- Utilizing your problem-solving skills to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Maintaining cleanliness and conducting pre-trip vehicle inspections.
What You Bring:
- A courteous attitude and safe driving skills, with the ability to navigate various road conditions.
- Strong decision-making abilities, both on the road and in customer interactions.
- A collaborative approach to build relationships with colleagues and customers.
- Proficiency in using technology, including GPS and mobile Proof of Delivery (POD) devices.
- A commitment to maintaining vehicle cleanliness and reporting maintenance concerns promptly.
Basic Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record that meets company standards.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screening (in accordance with legal guidelines).
- Capability to secure a 6-month DOT medical card as required for this role.
- Basic English language proficiency for both verbal and written communication.
- Willingness to work additional hours beyond your scheduled shift when necessary.
- Physical ability to lift up to 70 lbs and maneuver heavier items with assistance.
- Must be at least 21 years of age and comply with safety shoe requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED, or equivalent work experience.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience driving a truck (16ft or longer).
- Experience with high-volume package deliveries.
