Position Overview: Join our dynamic team as a Surgical Technologist I in the General Specialty area. This role is essential for delivering exemplary patient care in the operating room. You will play a key role in a fast-paced environment, enhancing the surgical experience for both patients and surgeons.
Location: Aurora St Lukes Medical Center - 2900 W Oklahoma Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53215
Job Type: Full-Time, Evening Shift, 40 hours/week.
Compensation: Competitive pay ranging from $26.10 - $39.15 per hour.
Sign-On Bonuses: $10,000 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates (relocation assistance available) and an additional $2,000 for PM shifts.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Ensuring a clean and safe environment that promotes optimal patient care.
- Utilizing aseptic surgical techniques to prepare materials, supplies, and equipment for surgical procedures.
- Setting up and managing the operating room efficiently, moving equipment, and ensuring a sterile field.
- Assisting surgeons by passing instruments and anticipating their needs during procedures.
- Transporting patients and equipment while maintaining safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within six months.
- No prior experience required.
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques and operating room procedures.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to lift and manage patients and equipment safely.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills.
