The QTI Group is partnering with a Madison client to hire a Data Test Engineer. This is a one year contract-to-hire opportunity.The Data Test Engineer will play an integral role in ensuring the quality and reliability of data infrastructure, user interfaces and services. This position has a primary focus of validating various data and requires attention to detail, an analytical mindset and the ability to design and implement testing procedures.Location: Madison, Wisconsin (hybrid). Must be currently located in the Madison, Wisconsin, area.Comp: $60-64/hr.Responsibilities include:
Create and design automated data test scenarios based on system specifications
Develop testing scripts using environment appropriate tools to ensure data accuracy and consistency
Develop automated testing strategies and provide feedback in analysis, design, implementation and execution phases
Investigate data quality defects and manage documentation
Maintain accurate test documentation related to test cases, data and test results
Communicate best data practices across various teams
Qualifications5+ years of experience with automated unit and integration testing
Knowledge in Python and AWS Glue/Lamda
Understanding and previous use of SQL for data validation, analysis and testing automation
Direct experience with Git (GitHub, Gitlab pipeines) and Jenkins
Experience in Agile/DevOps environments and experience with front end and back end testing
