Work Hours: 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Workdays: Monday - Friday Location: 5315 Summit Pkwy | San Antonio, TX 78207
Mission: The mission of Catholic Charities is to provide for the needs of our community through selfless service under the sign of love.
Summary: Under the supervision of the RSS Employment Program Manager, the RSS Employment Generalist is responsible for supporting program efforts to clients with eligibility assessment, enrollment and assistance with employment services including job placement, job readiness education, and follow-up of client services.
Position Responsibilities:
• *Works with eligible client communities to provide enrollment and on boarding of RSS Employment services.
• *Assist clients with job placement and upskilling opportunities through contacts with career education providers and community partners.
• *Guide clients by providing opportunities for career pathway jobs and training programs.
• *Assist employers through providing access to interpreting services for client job orientation or training.
• *Provides direct service support and referrals as needed and work together with staff members in areas of housing, employment, job training, health and emergency in regards to client service plan and agency or program goals.
*Assist with maintenance of program case files and data entry using ClientTrack, program case noting and other approved program or agency used data bases.
• Accompany clients to job orientations when necessary
• Report on activities, visits, meeting and special client concerns to the other staff during required weekly staff meetings.
• Conducts outreach to new and former clients to enroll and boost program outcomes.
• Discuss concerns regarding client situations or program issues with appropriate staff immediately.
• Complete weekly schedule, bi-weekly timesheets, and monthly mileage, etc.
• Must be sensitive to the service population's cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.
• Adhering to safety training and protocols on a daily basis, and taking precautionary measure to ensure the safety and well-being of self, others.
• Responsible for protecting the confidentiality of any information or material obtained in the service with the organization to include but not limited to client names and information, services rendered to clients, donors names and gifts, internal and external investigations or results of any investigations, and financial information.
• Adherence to the Code of Conduct and the Faith and Moral is mandatory.
• Every employee is required to take a solution-oriented approach in their interactions and undertakings, as well as being a team member that promotes collaboration and commitment to the Mission and Vision of the organization.
• Must complete all required professional development assigned in a timely manner

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
• Education/Experience
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in a social service or business-related field is preferred, or a minimum of one years' experience in a social service related field, with at least one year of experience in business administration, and/or human resources experience.
- Reliable transportation
- Valid driver license
- Valid vehicle insurance
- Good driving record
- Minimum of one years' experience in Grants Contracts including Federal Grants, State Grants, Program Manual , and Operational Guidelines.
- Extensive working knowledge of file documentation and Record keeping. Experience with computer software and Microsoft office, E-mail and Internet (i.e., Microsoft software preferred and PDF);
- A solid grasp of Non-profit Organization and Time Management.
- Must be detail oriented, organized, self-motivated, work well independently and on a team.
- Must have good written and verbal skills.
- Must have good critical thinking and problem solving skills.
- Must able to work in a culturally sensitive way with people of various backgrounds.
- Must able to maintain appropriate ethical boundaries and professional client relationship.
- Must be at least 21 years old, and able to drive 12-15 passenger agency van when necessary.
