We're working on behalf of a client seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join their team on the 2nd shift in York, PA. Key Requirements:

  • Associate's degree or technical certificate preferred; a minimum of five years' relevant experience or equivalent training
  • Extensive knowledge of electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical component repairs
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints accurately
  • Experience maintaining and repairing precision tools, dies, presses, and other manufacturing equipment
  • Familiarity with preventive maintenance procedures and safety guidelines in industrial settings
  • Skillful at reading measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers and documenting work clearly
  • Willingness to work on the second shift and adapt to fluctuating operational demands
  • Self-directed with the ability to operate with minimal supervision while achieving objectives
Main duties include:
  • Quickly diagnosing and repairing machinery malfunctions across various manufacturing and facility systems
  • Carrying out preventive maintenance tasks on equipment like presses, compressors, and saws to prevent breakdowns
  • Identifying and resolving issues within hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems
  • Assisting in configuring and repairing dies and tools in line with technical specifications and blueprints
  • Inspecting and maintaining compressed air systems and industrial presses to ensure smooth operation
  • Collaborating with engineering to install new equipment or modify existing setups for improved safety and performance
  • Keeping detailed records of maintenance activities and ensuring the workspace remains organized and safe
  • Supporting general plant upkeep, including forklift maintenance and cleaning routines
  • Working closely with production teams to minimize downtime and meet production goals
