Join our dedicated and expanding primary care clinic where we provide essential care for our patients and coordinate any specialty needs they may have. As a certified medical assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring smooth clinic operations while delivering exceptional care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Room patients and record vital signs and health history.
  • Perform point-of-care testing for flu, COVID-19, strep, Hemoglobin A1C, and urinalysis.
  • Assist physicians with minor procedures and administer injections.
  • Collaborate with front staff to facilitate patient check-in and check-out processes.
  • Document patient information and test results accurately in electronic medical records.
  • Prepare exam rooms, maintain cleanliness, and ensure adequate supplies and instruments are available.
  • Triaging of patients and preparing them for assessments and treatments.
  • Communicate effectively with patients regarding their care plans and provide education as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited medical assisting program.
  • Preferred: One year of patient care experience.
  • Required: Certification through recognized accrediting bodies (e.g., AMT, AAMA, NHA).
  • Current BLS certification is a must.

Physical Requirements:

The role requires the ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods. Candidates must be able to bend, kneel, climb stairs, lift up to 50 lbs unassisted, and perform repetitive motions. Ability to work in a latex-safe environment and maintain 20/40 vision corrected is essential.
