Role of Stroke Program Advanced Practice Provider

As an advanced practice provider, you will:

  • Deliver holistic, high-quality, and cost-effective care to patients and their families in our specialized neurology and stroke program.
  • Make independent healthcare decisions for individuals, families, and groups across all age ranges.
  • Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team alongside medical directors, nurse managers, and support staff to optimize patient management.
  • Engage in patient admissions, discharges, consultations, and respond to stroke codes efficiently.

Work Schedule - Rotating shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, with potential expansion to overnight shifts.

Qualifications

  • Completion of an Approved Nurse Practitioner Program or equivalent training.
  • Current APRN or PA licensure required.
  • Certification as per CT state law.
  • Acute Care NP certification is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in a relevant specialty is preferred but not mandatory.
