Role OverviewSecurity Engineers is seeking dedicated unarmed security officers to help maintain safe and secure environments for our clients. Officers play a vital role in deterring incidents through visibility, vigilance, and proactive engagement. Responsibilities include patrolling, monitoring access points, verifying identification, responding to alarms/emergencies, and maintaining detailed logs. This role requires professionalism, strong observational skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Duties & Responsibilities- Patrol & Surveillance
- Conduct walking patrols to identify and report safety concerns.
- Monitor access points; verify IDs and credentials.
- Monitor surveillance systems for threats or suspicious activity.
- Incident Response & Reporting
- Respond to alarms, emergencies, and incidents per protocol.
- Maintain accurate logs of activities and incidents.
- Perform routine security tasks (e.g., locking/unlocking doors).
- Customer Service & Policy Enforcement
- Assist visitors and employees professionally.
- Enforce site-specific post orders and security protocols.
- Ensure compliance with SEI and client policies (e.g., smoking, loitering, parking).
- Valid Tennessee Security Officer License as required by state licensing authority.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Ability to perform in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
- Weekend availability.
- Strong situational awareness and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to remain calm and effective in critical situations.
- Basic computer skills; ability to use tablets for reporting.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Stand/sit for at least 1 hour without break.
- Walk a minimum of mile without stopping.
- Climb at least 20 commercial facility stairs without stopping.
- Minimum: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- No prior experience required.
- Preferred: 1+ year of verifiable security, law enforcement, or military experience.
- Preferred: 2+ years of verifiable customer service experience.
