CLA is looking to hire a Senior Tax Associate to join our CLA North Carolina Tax team. You'll have the opportunity in this role to work with privately held business clients as you determine how you would like to grow and specialize as you progress in your inspired career. This position can be based out of our Charlotte, Winston-Salem, or Raleigh offices.
How you'll create opportunities in this Senior Tax Associate role:
- Prepare, supervise, and review C corporation, S corporation, and partnership returns.
- Partner with clients to provide customized tax advisory services and work closely with other tax team members to identify and research complex tax issues.
- Focus on engagement management and operational excellence.
- Develop and train team members to help them build inspired careers.
- Expand your technical and professional knowledge through greater exposure to client interactions, regular self-study, and training opportunities.
- Get the opportunity to work with many great clients.
What you will need:
- You have a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- You have an active CPA license (or EA for Tax positions) or are eligible to sit for the CPA exams and meet the 150-credit requirement to obtain a CPA license.
- You have at least 2 years of experience in public accounting or a family office setting, 3 years is preferred.
- You are looking for a firm that will support and foster your aspiring career goals.

- You have a knack for solving issues and confidently bring solutions to the table.
- You love to work with clients to help their businesses succeed strategically.
- You have earned or are hopeful to earn your EA, CPA, or JD license in the near future.
