Lead Integrated Cybersecurity Architect

As the Lead Integrated Cybersecurity Architect, you will play a pivotal role in promoting and implementing cybersecurity architectural principles and standards across engineering teams. Your expertise will guide teams in developing secure products and enterprise tools in both multi-cloud and on-premises environments. By collaborating closely with product and engineering teams, you will address unique cybersecurity challenges and help foster a culture of security.
In this position, you will report to the Director of Integrated Cybersecurity Architecture at Cox Automotive and be an integral part of cross-functional efforts to mitigate cybersecurity risks.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Communicate and advocate for adherence to cybersecurity guidelines within engineering and business teams.
- Engage continuously with engineering teams to provide architectural guidance and support the implementation of cybersecurity controls.
- Identify and help mitigate cybersecurity risks through thorough threat modeling of products and enterprise tools.
- Offer cybersecurity architecture consultation across major programs and solutions.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity peers to create a unified department and serve as a dedicated cybersecurity advocate for product and engineering teams.
- Work alongside enterprise architecture and infrastructure teams to assess current architecture, identify security gaps, and recommend enhancements.
- Participate in security events and incident response to uncover design gaps and propose solutions to prevent future vulnerabilities.
- Educate architects and engineers on industry best practices and cybersecurity standards.
- Work with legal and compliance teams to ensure cybersecurity architecture meets regulatory and contractual obligations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field with a minimum of 6 years relevant experience, or equivalent qualifications such as a master's degree with 4 years of experience.
- At least 4 years of focused experience in cybersecurity.
- Proven expertise in designing and securing AWS infrastructures.
- Ability to clearly communicate the objectives of cybersecurity policies to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Exceptional customer service, writing, and presentation skills.
- Proficient in building strong, collaborative relationships with stakeholders and other cybersecurity teams.
- Ability to analyze risks and recommend actions based on business impact.
- Knowledge of contemporary cybersecurity frameworks and regulations such as ISO 27000, NIST, GDPR, and more.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and implementing changes in large organizations.
- Ability to work with AI to enhance architectural processes and compliance.
- Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with the development of cybersecurity best practices across cloud and on-premises environments.
- Knowledge of IAM, cryptography, and security protocols.
- In-depth familiarity with application security implementations.
- Technical knowledge in programming languages and cloud technologies.
- Experience in national critical infrastructure industries.
- Experience with a leading consulting firm or Fortune 500 company.
- Relevant industry certifications such as CISSP or AWS certifications are a plus.
Compensation: The base salary for this role ranges from $119,600.00 to $199,400.00, adjusted based on location and qualifications. Additional compensation may include an incentive program.
