Century Group is excited to partner with a top client to help them find a Human Resources Manager to join their East Bay team The HR Manager will assist the Director of Human Resources to manage the human resources functions of the organization including HR administration, employee relations, benefits, and training.
Onsite in the East Bay with 1 day per week remote
Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and location. Expected starting base salary $150,000 to 180,000 per year.
Responsibilities:
- Employee relations, risk management, training, leave management, safety, workers' compensation, recruitment, benefits administration, compensation and HR administration.
- Coordinate with Finance Department on payroll policies, procedures and operations.
- Stay current with best HR practices through trainings and consults with legal counsel as needed.
- Oversees development of consultant requests for proposals and bids for services.
- Contributes to DEI, and overall quality of agency's service.
- Participates in and makes presentations to a variety of boards and commissions.
- Knowledge of applicable Federal, State and local laws nd regulatory codes as well as strong understanding of principles and practices of human resources management.
- Four-year college or university degree or equivalent.
- 4+ years of human resources experience, preferably in a public agency.
- Housing related experience strongly preferred.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
