About the Position

We are searching for a Senior Civil (Aviation) Engineer to join our growing Professional Design Services team in Peachtree Corners, GA or Jacksonville, FL. The ideal candidate possesses 10+ years of civil engineering experience (internship, co-op and professional experience included) and wants to grow, collaborate, and innovate. In this position, the successful candidate will contribute to the design of civil systems including grading, draining and hydrology for sites while working collaboratively under the mentorship of seasoned engineering professionals. The successful candidate would also interface with clients and support proposal development. Design projects will span across multiple markets and geographies affording opportunities for broadening knowledge and deepening skill sets related to building systems design. We are seeking someone who can be an independent self-starter and can move quickly and efficiently through a variety of design stages ranging from concept plans to construction documentation.

Experience and Qualifications

  • BS in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology from an accredited college or university
  • 10+ years of related MEP experience (including internship, co-op or professional experience)
  • Previous experience in commercial aviation industry (or similar) is a plus
  • Experience with relevant software such as Civil3D, Hydraflow, AutoCAD and BIM
  • EIT certification preferred or anticipated
  • Ability to design, control, and implement electrical systems and products; create "redline sketches" for designers and engineers; assist in preparing necessary documentation for project needs; perform accurate and legible design calculations; and assist in establishing project timelines and task assignments
  • Ability to work well within a team environment, positive attitude, multi-task, and self-motivated to produce high quality work
  • Ability and desire to learn and grow professionally
