Job Summary:

The Nursing Assistant (NA) is a crucial member of our caregiving team, providing essential care and support to our residents during each shift. You'll play a significant role in delivering resident-centered nursing care and assisting with daily living activities. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering compassionate care tailored to each resident's physical and psychological needs as outlined in their care plan.
  • Assisting residents with basic health care tasks such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
  • Monitoring and recording vital signs, and documenting resident interactions accurately.
  • Communicating changes in residents' conditions to the supervising registered nurse (RN).
  • Supporting residents during transfers and mobility exercises, ensuring safety while promoting their independence.
  • Contributing to a positive dining experience by assisting with meal preparation and serving.
  • Engaging residents in wellness and recreational activities, enhancing their quality of life.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Minimum age of 16, with prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
  • Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification, or the ability to complete certification within four months of hire.
  • Commitment to ongoing education and competency testing, with a minimum of 12 hours required annually.
  • Must comply with any state-specific registration requirements for Unlicensed Assistive Persons (UAP).
  • May require a valid driver's license and a motor vehicle report, depending on facility-specific responsibilities.
