Shift: Varies

Job Schedule: PRN

Weekly Hours: Varies

Salary Range: $21.00 - $25.00

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide compassionate resident-centered care and assist with daily living activities under a registered nurse's supervision.
  • Deliver age-appropriate care that meets the physical and psychological needs of residents.
  • Assist with personal hygiene needs including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
  • Measure and record vital signs, and provide psychosocial support to residents.
  • Help residents with mobility, transfers, and exercises following correct techniques.
  • Ensure a pleasant dining experience by assisting with meals and snacks.
  • Support nursing staff with procedures, and document care interactions and outcomes accurately.
  • Communicate any changes in residents' conditions to the nursing team promptly.
  • Contribute to wellness programs and encourage resident participation in activities.
  • Maintain cleanliness of living areas through light housekeeping and laundry services.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Must be at least 16 years old; prior experience in long-term care is an asset.
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required within four months of employment.
  • Maintain compliance with annual training and competency requirements.
  • If applicable, must be certified and registered with the Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) Registry.
  • A valid driver's license may be required, depending on facility responsibilities.
