Position Overview

As a certified Safelite Repair Specialist I, you will leverage our state-of-the-art technology to repair vehicle glass. You will embody the Safelite Spirit through your positive attitude and dedication to customer service, creating moments of unexpected happiness for our clients by delivering high-quality repairs.

Your Responsibilities

• Learn how to repair vehicle glass through classroom instruction and hands-on experience, guided by skilled technicians and leaders.
• Repair chips, cracks, and other glass-related issues on customer vehicles.
• Manage work orders, customer documentation, and communications using the Safelite handheld Mobile Resource Management technology.
• Promote and sell Safelite promotional items to customers.
• Maintain the cleanliness of customer vehicles during idle time and perform general housekeeping tasks in the company vehicle and shop.
• Safely operate company and customer vehicles along with necessary tools and chemicals throughout the workday.
• Complete other assigned duties while adhering to all company policies and standards.

What You Will Receive

• Competitive base pay starting at $17.25/hour.

Education and Experience Requirements

• Preferred: High School Diploma or GED.
• Required: Valid state-issued driver's license and any additional licenses required by law to operate a company vehicle.
• Required: Completion of on-the-job training and Safelite SafeTech certification.

Skills and Abilities

• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs., and assist in lifting windshields weighing between 26 lbs. to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, work in tight spaces, and bend and twist as needed.
• Competence in utilizing various hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Ability to drive a motor vehicle safely in compliance with all traffic laws while being monitored by camera and GPS.
• Professional demeanor with a commitment to exceptional customer service.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and extreme temperatures.
• Ability to handle chemicals safely, as per company practices.
• Flexibility with work schedule to accommodate customer needs.
• Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot independently or collaboratively.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, in English.
• Ability to maintain a professional appearance and adhere to the company uniform and PPE policies.
• Resilience under pressure, with the ability to sustain performance even during challenging situations.

This position involves driving responsibilities monitored through cameras and GPS technology to ensure compliance with safety standards.
