A Brief Overview

As an Auto Glass Technician, you will be at the forefront of the customer experience. This hands-on role requires you to utilize your Safelite training and cutting-edge tools and technology to provide repairs, replacements, and recalibrations both in our shop and through our Mobile Glass Shop services.

Key Responsibilities

• Efficiently deliver all vehicle glass repair and replacement services, ensuring safety, quality, and outstanding customer service.
• Clean customer vehicles following every service.
• Recalibrate automotive safety systems, troubleshoot issues, and conduct diagnostic testing.
• Effectively use Safelite's tools and technologies for seamless operations.
• Safely operate company and customer vehicles throughout your workday.
• Engage with scheduled customers in-person, via text, and on the phone; promote and sell Safelite products and services.
• Fulfill additional duties as assigned and follow all company policies and standards.

• Competitive weekly pay starting at $22.25/hour, increasing to $26.50/hour upon successful completion of training and certification.

Educational Qualifications:

• Preferred: High School Diploma or GED/Equivalent.
• Required: Valid state-issued driver's license and any additional licenses as needed by local laws for operating a company vehicle.
• Simplified certification through the Safelite SafeTech program is required.

Experience Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 35 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• Capability to stand for extended periods, work in tight spaces, and perform bending and twisting tasks.
• Proficient in safely operating various hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to drive a motor vehicle while adhering to all local traffic laws and allowing for safety monitoring through cameras and GPS.
• Maintain professionalism and demonstrate a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
• Ability to work outdoors under a variety of weather conditions and temperatures.
• Willingness to work with chemicals as described in the Safelite Way of Fitting.
• Flexibility in scheduled work shifts to accommodate customer needs.
• Proficient in using computerized diagnostic tools for recalibrations and troubleshooting.
• Strong problem-solving skills, both independently and collaboratively.
• Capacity to read, write, and interpret technical directions in English.
• Ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing.
• Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to company dress and PPE policies.
• Ability to perform under pressure while meeting productivity measures.
