Shipping Clerk

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour
Position Type: Temp-to-Perm

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Shipping Clerk to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in materials management, inventory reconciliation, and shipping/receiving operations. This role requires strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and process shipping and receiving documentation accurately and efficiently.
• Verify contents of incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy and compliance with order requirements.
• Track inventory levels, reconcile discrepancies, and maintain up-to-date records.
• Coordinate with carriers, vendors, and internal departments to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.
• Implement process controls and quality improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Identify and resolve shipment or inventory issues promptly.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or other warehouse equipment safely (if required).
• Support overall warehouse and logistics operations as needed.

• Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations (1+ years preferred).
• Knowledge of logistics, inventory control, and materials management.
• Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle high-volume workloads.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and/or warehouse management systems.
• Forklift certification is a plus.
