Responsible for inventory, fixed assets, prepaids, and accruals accounting cycle. Assists in implementation of control systems.
What you will be responsible for:

Applies fundamental concepts in the application of any judgments to relatively routine matters.

Supports a wide scope of accounting processes, including journal entry preparation, Accounts Payable, Inventory, Fixed Assets, General Accounting and Intercompany/general reconciliations.

Assist management with deliverables to Corporate and external auditors on a quarterly and annual basis.

Provides accounting for the assigned organization entity or facility, verifying the accuracy of journal entries, budget and accounting classifications and charges to assigned accounts.

Performs such individual assignments as supervisors and superiors may direct; ensures adequate and continuous controls are exercised over all assigned activities affecting quality; establishes and maintains effective work relationships within the department, the Corporation and the community; and maintains the professional competence, knowledge and skill necessary for the satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities.

Supports monthly close process.

Qualifications:
What you will need to be successful in this role:

Bachelors' Degree in Accounting from four-year college or university
-
Zero (0) to three (3) years of experience required.

Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel required.

Knowledge of Government Accounting preferred.
-
Pursuing or possessing a CPA is a plus.

This position currently is required to work in-office 4 days per week and may work remote 1 day per week.
The anticipated salary range for this position is $64,000 to $68,000 annually. This range reflects the base salary for candidates who meet the requirements of the role, including experience, education, and location. AAR offers a competitive benefits package, including medical/dental/vision/life/and AD&D insurance, 401(k) savings plan with employer match, paid time off and holiday pay, as well as opportunities for professional development and growth.
