Job Overview
The company is seeking experienced Electrical Estimators to join its growing team in Austin and Houston. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial electrical estimation, experience with Accubid, and a keen attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Identify cost-saving opportunities utilizing estimating tools such as Accubid.
- Review blueprints, specifications, and other bid documents to determine project scope and requirements.
- Prepare detailed estimates for materials, labor, and equipment for electrical projects.
- Review and negotiate bids from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure accuracy and competitiveness.
- Compile and present bid proposals to clients.
- Track project costs, report on financial performance, and manage changes to project scope.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other departments to ensure accurate estimation and planning.
- Conduct site visits to assess job requirements and validate estimate details.
- 3-5+ years of experience in electrical estimating, preferably in commercial construction.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and drawings.
- Working knowledge of commercial codes (NEC, UL, IBC, etc.).
- Strong time management, planning, and organizational skills.
- Experience with Bluebeam and Accubid is required.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
