Amazon Leo is looking to hire a skilled IT Support Engineer to provide comprehensive technical support for our infrastructure, warehousing operations, production environments, and laboratory facilities. This role is crucial in maintaining operational efficiency and ensuring reliable technology systems across our organization.

Key job responsibilities

- This shift will be a dayshift, 8:00am - 4:00PM, M-F. Shift assignments or hours are subject to change based on business need.

- Process tickets via approved standard operating procedures (SOPs) to triage and resolve customer issues.

- Provision, Deploy, and troubleshoot Windows, Linux, and maxOS workstations

- Provision, Deploy, and troubleshoot bare-metal windows and Linux servers

- Configure, Deploy, and Replace network infrastructure including switches, routers, and firewalls

- Participate in hiring, training and development of others

- Provide technical support for Leo Production, lab and launch Infrastructure, components, and associated software

- Provide remote support for Leo employees and infrastructure worldwide

- Perform scheduled maintenance and system upgrades

- Assist with project implementations and technology deployments

- Drives engineering best practices (e.g., Operational Excellence, Security, Quality, etc.) and set standards.

- Participate in on-call responsibilities.

- up to 25% Travel Requirements

Security Clearance: This position requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen and must currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance.

A day in the life

You start the day by reviewing critical incidents that need to be prioritized. After addressing immediate concerns, you will join the daily team stand up and work on projects and tickets critical to production and take part with a rotating on-call. In this role, you will build relationships with production teams, mentor, and ensure stability and standardization. Operational excellence and customer obsession are core values of this role, as we own providing best-in-class services to the critical Kuiper systems.

About the team

Amazon Leo IT Services is a fast paced technical support organization that is focused on supporting large scale business initiatives while keeping a Day1 mentality. Our support scope involves several highly technical areas such as Production Operations, Lab Operations, Launch, and Warehousing.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of technical infrastructure support experience

- 3+ years of networking fundamentals

- 3+ years of working with Clients and Servers

- You must possess an active Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- CCNA or equivalent networking certifications or knowledge.

- Linux + or equivalent Linux knowledge.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $54,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $122,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
