Your Responsibilities
  • Conducting thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and creating personalized care strategies
  • Diagnosing and treating acute, episodic, or chronic conditions independently or in collaboration with physicians, depending on your credentials
  • Providing education to patients and their families on preventive measures, wellness, and chronic disease management
  • Prescribing medications and therapies within your scope of practice
  • Engaging in patient follow-ups and managing chronic care
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to guarantee integrated, holistic care
  • Maintaining accurate and complete records within electronic medical systems (EMR)
Educational Qualifications
  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
  • Successful completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
Essential Certifications
  • Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of Virginia
  • National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or an equivalent specialization
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the ability to obtain them within 90 days)
